Group News
Good luck to all the Scouts going to the Guillimot Trophy (Scouting Skills) Competition on Sunday. Do yourselves proud. I wish I was going to that one.
The Scout Group would like to thank RAOB and the Mayor for their very kind donations to the group. it's very much appreciated and will be put to good use.
We have started a new Facebook Page for the Scout Group, please get along and join the site.
Twitter & Facebook
Keep up with what goes on in the Scout Group and other Scouting news you may enjoy, by following us on Twitter. Young or old, there is always snippets of information given out or any late notices for each section. You can use Twitter on you're mobile phone, and get the news where ever you are. Dowload a Twitter app to your phone or computer and follow us @GoodwickScouts or if your not on Twitter yet.
I have also created a new Facebook page for the Scout Group, as it seems everyone has Facebook these days. It's another good place to get together, I'll probably put most of the group photos on the Facebook page and you can also check it out for daily updates, when sections are out and about or on camp. Fundraising
We are collecting Tesco Vouchers again this year, these are very handy for the group because it enables us to buy sporting equipment for the group. Please bring any vouchers to your Section Leader. Another good way to increase the number of vouchers is to get friends & relatives to collect vouchers for you too. See the advert above about Easyfundraising? You can help raise money for the Scout group just by sitting at you're computer. We nearly all do some sort of online shopping these days. Well if you click on the banner advert above, sign up and request 'Goodwick Sea Scout Group' as your chosen charity to support. The whenever you want to shop online, sign in to Easyfundraising, select the shop you want to purchase from and a percentage of your sale will come back to the group.
Personal Camping Equipment
It's that time of the year when the Young People of the group start getting their letters and information about the camps and activities coming up.
If your child has never camped before or you just want some advice on the basics, or the best items of kit to get. Please feel free to have a look at the kit pages relevant to each section. Need advice? Contact Haithi at the Contact Page.
